MedTouch Client Core Physicians Wins "Best in Class" Interactive Media Award
Another MedTouch client brings home an interactive media award for innovative healthcare website redesign
MedTouch, a leading provider of interactive, web-based solutions for healthcare organizations, is pleased to announce that client Core Physicians has received the highest honor bestowed by the Interactive Media Council (IMC) for their recently redesigned website, www.corephysicians.org, which provides patients with quick and easy access to health and provider information. Core Physicians, LLC, an affiliate of Exeter Health Resources, is a community-based, multi-specialty group practice. The IMC, an organization dedicated to elevating the standards of excellence on the Internet, awarded a Best in Class award to the Core Physicians.
Receiving a Best in Class award means that the Core Physicians website excelled in all areas of the IMC’s judging criteria and achieved a near perfect overall score. The IMC Awards Competition is judged by members of the council who are all leaders in web design, advertising, public relations, publishing, news and other industries. Websites are evaluated using a points-based scoring system on design, content, feature functionality, usability and more.
“It is nice to receive recognition for this website,” said Jeff Stott, eHealth Services Specialist for Core Physicians. “The website has been very well received by patients and has allowed us to better communicate our brand and promote our service channels to help visitors become a patient of Core Physicians.”
The new interface on Core Physician’s website helps visitors with everything from finding a physician to selecting a location and requesting an appointment. Content was restructured to better facilitate navigation between Exeter websites and present providers in the context of services, health information, news and events, multimedia and actionable steps (online forms). Visitors to the site can read relevant news about various health topics and find answers to specific health questions or refill prescriptions online. These forms offer patients a convenient and secure way to handle their healthcare needs from their own computer at any time, day or night.
As part of the redesign, MedTouch implemented an interactive map component to visually represent the Core Physicians brand which encompasses over 25 locations and to allow users to find a Core Physicians location in their area. The map includes drill down capabilities for location, providers, services and directions to service all of Core Physicians existing and new patients, staff, and new physician recruits. An online directory on the site includes over 20 specialty services and many more related services offered by affiliates of Core Physicians, including 100 member physician profiles. Overall the site provides a new resource that will assist patients in finding the right service and provider for their health needs.
