Interactive Project Manager

These are the skills needed to run our projects as an Interactive Project Manager.
The Interactive Project Manager is responsible for overseeing multiple new client projects from the signing of the contract to the launch of the site. This individual takes initiative, has great judgment, can think through technical options, is creative in developing client solutions and is a results-oriented thinker who understands the impact of delivering projects on time and schedule and within agreed upon scope.
Job Duties - What We Expect
- Takes initiative: worries about what might go wrong and pre-plans how to make it go right.
- Thinks creatively: Has a mental swiss-army-knife-like array of options for clients when the inevitable bumps hit the road.
- Plans effectively: creates timelines and knows what it means to keep projects moving on a day-to-day basis.
- Makes progress: ensures day-to-day progress of a project against scope, field calls/questions from clients.
- Inspires others: keeps team members assigned to their project informed and inspired to do their best work every day.
- Measures often: tracks and reports team hours and expenses on a weekly basis.
- Recognizes need: listens to clients to address concerns.
- Obsesses over details: reviews deliverables before they are sent to clients to ensure the highest integrity and quality.
- Always improves: develops continuous improvement plans for project management team skill set, including new techniques, expertise, and knowledge base.
- Communicates well: effectively conveys our message in both written and verbal business development discussions.
- Enjoys the trip: travels occasionally to meet customers on site and at professional functions such as conferences.
- Plays well with others: can contribute to the overall MedTouch culture and ethos.
Communication Requirements
- Can handle internal and client meetings, facilitates team and client meetings effectively.
- Holds regular status meetings with project team.
- Keeps project team well informed of changes within the organization and general corporate news.
- Effectively communicates relevant project information to MedTouch Management.
- Delivers engaging, informative, well-organized presentations.
- Resolves and/or escalates issues in a timely fashion.
- Understands how to communicate difficult/sensitive information tactfully.
- Possesses general understanding in the areas of website usability, website design principles, content development, QA testing and module development.
- Understands the principles of Content Management Systems and obtains thorough knowledge of MedTouch applications.
- Maintains awareness of new and emerging technologies and the potential application on client engagements.
Leadership
- Identifies opportunities for improvement and makes constructive suggestions for change.
Teamwork
- Consistently acknowledges and appreciates each team member's contributions.
- Mitigates team conflict and communication problems.
- A positive, can-do attitude
Experience Required
- 5+ years of experience as a Web Project Manager, Interactive Account Executive or similar type position in an interactive agency environment.
- Experience managing large-scale web projects starting with scope definition, through implementation and launch.
- Ability to review site metrics and make decisions based on data.
- B.S. or B.A. in an interesting major or comparable educational experience. Master Degree highly preferred.
- Candidates responding must be currently eligible to work in the U.S.
- Healthcare experience would be a huge plus, but is not necessary.
