Case Study: Culpeper PHO

Culpeper Physician Hospital Organization (PHO), a dynamic partnership between Culpeper Regional Hospital and physicians in the greater Culpeper, Virginia area, turned to MedTouch to develop an unique extranet/intranet solution.

The nature of the PHO means that the end users -- physicians and office administrators -- are geographically distributed and needed a single system that would allow them to communicate with the PHO and the insurers contracted with the PHO.

MedTouch provided a mixed-use, extranet/intranet site that allowed the PHO staff to publish contract updates, push news out to the membership, and report on credentialing status.  The administrators in the physician offices use the site to access critical healthcare reimbursement data and the physicians are provided with a knowledge base of PHO articles, published research, and physician-submitted questions.

The result?  A completely unique way for the PHO and its members to share knowledge online and work together more efficiently, despite being miles apart.
